IronKid Chloe Rings the Bell

IronKid Chloe

We’re always excited to hear good news from our IronKid families. Thank you for helping us make this level of recovery possible.

Mom’s email reads:

I am writing to thank you for all the support that the Iron Matt Foundation has given us. I honestly don’t know how we would’ve survived without your help. By assisting us with our mortgage and other bills, you relieved the financial strain so we could concentrate on my daughter Chloe‘s treatments.

Chloe was diagnosed on September 12, 2025, with high-risk medulloblastoma. She underwent two brain surgeries, followed by six weeks of daily chemotherapy and radiation, and then six cycles of maintenance chemotherapy. I actually work as a nurse … where Chloe is being treated, and my husband works as a firefighter for the Fire Department of New York City. I had to step away from my job as an ICU nurse because Chloe needed me full-time to take care of her. Going from a two-income family down to one was a very big strain on our family.

Before Chloe was diagnosed, she had just started her senior year of high school. She was an honor student in the top 10% of her class, a competitive dancer, and a dance teacher. She also loved going to the gym and thrifting. These past 11 months have been an absolute nightmare, but she has finally just completed her treatment and is starting to feel better.

I have just now started looking to go back to work. I don’t know if I can go back to Columbia full-time in the ICU, but I am looking for a part-time position where I can still be able to take Chloe to physical therapy and occupational therapy as needed.

I can’t thank you enough for all of your help. We are overwhelmed with the kindness and generosity of your foundation.
