Matt Giegerich to Lead IronMatt as CEO

MattGiegerich IronMatt CEO

Matt Giegerich joins the IronMatt staff as Chief Executive Officer and leader of the Foundation’s mission: to build a network committed to reducing family hardship, funding pediatric brain tumor research and giving children the opportunity to live long, healthy lives. He writes,  “I’m beyond thrilled to serve this amazingly impactful organization in this new capacity and look forward to helping more families deal with the emotional stress and day-to-day complexity that a pediatric brain cancer diagnosis brings.”

Matt brings three decades of leadership experience as an industry leader in the healthcare marketing and communication industries. In that time, he mastered the art and science of managing people, planning strategic growth, reporting on financial metrics and communicating the essence of a brand to the masses.

Matt Giegerich is also a leader in the non-profit world.  He is a passionate volunteer and philanthropist having donated countless hours and dollars to numerous local and national charities.  Matt was even a founding member and subsequent chair of the highly regarded foundation, Charity Navigator, the most trusted platform for evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of non-profit organizations world-wide.

Matt has also been a long time friend and benefactor of the IronMatt Foundation having raised his family in the same community as the Larsons. Matt participated in many IronMatt events and eventually joined the Board.  “In addition to Greg and Kelly Larson at the helm, IronMatt is blessed with a wonderfully committed team of staff, volunteers and board members who give their all in the pursuit of our mission.  We’ve all been touched by cancer in one way or another, directly or indirectly.  It’s truly personal, for all of us.  And it’s so rewarding to make such a meaningful difference for so many.”

The IronMatt family welcomes Matt in his new role.  We look forward to his professional skills and personal passion manifesting into an even greater impact on the IronKids and families we serve.
